For the life of me I don't get how some people can be so lazy. A mail man is PAID to put your mail to your mailbox and bring larger packages to your front door. It is their JOB! So why is it that our mail man can't manage to do just that? Both FedEx and UPS seem to be able to make the trek up to the apartment door but the mail man... OHHH No.... That is just too much work. Instead they leave a note in our mailbox and put the package in the Apartment Office. When I tried to call the local post office I was given an 800 number that put me on hold for 20 minutes before they could track down our post office's number. When I was FINALLY connected with the local office I asked them their reason for not bringing the packages to our doors. The response I got was: "There are just far too many stairs and it is a liability."
Really? What kind of people are they hiring? If you are so mentally challenged that stairs are a liability maybe you should get a desk job.... in a strip mall... Not to mention that the whole thing is just crap. Maybe if everyone in the apartments had large packages on the same day.... but since that is never going to happen the whole excuse is just ridiculous. The stairs are all fully covered so even rain or shine the stairs are dry. I don't know what I expected when I called them. It isn't like they are going to say, "Well, Mrs. Johnson the reason your mail man doesn't bring your packages to your door is because he is a lazy, fat, under achiever and we don't want to pay for any injuries." Do you have any idea how much a mail man makes? 50,000 a year... and most of the time they never have to get out of their vehicle. I made less money working flood and fire restoration packing personal belongings out of sooty nasty homes! Maybe I should get a job as a mail carrier. Apparently you get all the government perks with no effort at all!

Our post man/woman won't even come to our door, and we don't have any stairs for them to injure themselves on. They just automatically leave us a note in the box saying there is a package for us to pick up.
R-U-D-E!
We should think about going postal together :)
